Don’t worry Rafanatics. After a couple days of near misses, we finally caught Rafael Nadal on the practice courts!
Rafa practiced twice on Friday. The first session (white cap) was in the late morning with Janko Tipsarevic. Flavia Pennetta, Svetlana Kuznetsova and Nikolay Davydenko were around for a chat. I have no idea what Flavs was saying to Rafa, but it’s fun to take a guess!
The second practice session (blue cap) was just an hour or so later with Juan Carlos Ferrero.

Wow! And I mean, wow! No words can describe what I feel right now. He’s so sweet. And hot. And cute. And to die for. And his smile. And his dimples. And his legs!

I saw Kim, Ivanovic and Kuznetsova staying close and closer to Rafa, in pics from this year’s Indian Wells.

Aww, Rafa did say he was friends with many of the WTA players, but he didn’t want to name names because he’s private and there’s no telling what the media might try and cook-up (read: rumors about love connections).
Rafa is 23 years old and is not married, he knows he has to be tight lipped about girls he’s friends with, as it’s very easy to concoct baseless romance connections. I think the girls on the WTA feel the same way, it’s a bit difficult to say you admire Rafa without people raising an eyebrow as if to say “whyyyyy? Is it because he’s cuuuuute? Do you have a crush on hiiiim?” (one of the reasons I was surprised Victoria was so open about it)
I remember when a couple of the WTA players came out to watch Rafa play during last year’s clay tourneys, the commentators (and certain fans on certain blogs) made the most ridiculous remarks as to why they were there. As if “because he plays kick-ass tennis” wasn’t an obvious enough reason to want to watch Rafa play. SHEESH!
Did I just go on a bit of a rant? I apologize. *grins sheepishly*

Which makes it all the more interesting that he decided to do a hot and steamy music video with a sexy songstress no?
The pics are great and he looks great. Why do I always prefer his practice kit to his match kit these days?
BTW, ditto to everything you said Mara. Don’t even get me started on his dimples!

Absolutely magnificent photographs Fritters! Rafa has so many expressions and moods, it’s great to see them as the photos progress! I flove every single one of them. You should get a prize for the ones of him bending over and stretcing his legs. Oh, and the forehand shots are great too!
FAN.TAS.TIC. Number6, 11, 12, 14, 22, 25,27,30 are my ultra-ultra faves. Those, and the ones where he’s wearing an orange shirt, white shorts, and is Rafa Nadal.

P.S. The ones where Rafa is with Flavia are just too funny! It’s like he’s thinking “okay Flavia, I’d really like to catch up, but I’m kinda in the middle of something here”. Boy do I wish I were a butterfly on his shoulder. I would love to hear what she’s saying to him. Also, the ones where Rafa is withTipsy, JCF, Davydenko are just too cute. I wish you had caught some with Rafa and Kuzzy together. She’s one of my favorite WTA players.
Thanks LP! We had FINALLLY scored the Rafa-load. Don’t know why it took us soo long to get Rafa photos…probably cuz me and Frites can’t seem to get our butts into Indian Wells before 10am until this day when we did. Plus Rafa practiced twice that day.
As for Rafa/Kuzzy, they didn’t really talk much. Kuzzy was doin the Russian thang with Davy.
But Rafa was doing some talking with Flavia, hmmm?

I suddenly really like Flavia Panetta a lot more, lol. There’s something really cute about her in her pic with Nadal. It’s always really fun to just see tennis players relax and laugh outside the court, some of them look like they’ll be huge fun to hang out with. And does anyone know or could guess whose hand that is on Nadal’s bum in one of the pics? Would be really hilarious if it was one of the female players.
