In this video, Laureus World Sports Academy panel Sean Fitzpatrick, Sebastian Coe, Boris Becker and Michael Johnson discuss Roger Federer and his fantastic 2009 season. The Laureus World Sports Academy is “the ultimate sports jury”, voting each year to decide the winners of the Laureus World Sports Awards. Federer’s won the prestigious Laureus Sportsman of the Year award a record 4 times. The 2009 winner was Usain Bolt. (Rafael Nadal was a nominee but faced stiff competition from other 2008 Olympians.)
I don’t think the 2010 nominees have been decided yet – but I’m thinking Roger Federer is on the shortlist.
