Andy Murray made news this fall when he dropped sponsor Fred Perry and followed the money to adidas. The five year deal is reportedly worth between £10 – £15 million. Did adidas have anything left over to pay its designers? You be the judge.
Here’s Andy Murray’s 2010 Australian Open outfit (via allineedisapicketfence ):

Via adidas: “Andy will debut his exclusive adidas Competition and Barricade colourways alongside fellow Briton Laura Robson, at the Hopman Cup in Perth, Australia in early January.”

I don’t hate it. The blue shirt/white shorts combo is as good as anything we’ve seen from adidas lately, and it’s certainly a step up from the drab stuff Fred Perry put him in (Wimbledon shorty shorts excepted.)
And it would take Bethanie Mattek-Sands to come up with something crazier than what adidas designed for Fernando Verdasco’s Australian Open kit. Though I must admit, it’s kind of growing on me now that I’m reminded how boring men’s tennis gear is:

I liked better Fred Perry clothes on Andy
Fernando Verdasco looks ridiculous.
Adidas paid £10 – £15 million to have Andy Murray and all they can do for him is… that?? They had the chance to use Andy as the perfect image of something new/fresh and instead they gave him that SOOO normal and boring outfit my nephew could be wearing anytime at school. If they hadn’t show this Andy’s pic you couldn’t have guessed who was going to wear that to Aus Open: Andy Murray or the #300 raked.
Who wins? Verdasco! Look at THAT! O.o
i’m w/u, i like nando’s alot better.
whoho….andy is lukin gud…but da florescent colour don’t suit him…his 2nd outfit is better then the 1st one…his barricade shoes r gud….best of luck 4 2010…
It’s ok but I liked Nole’s best. I’m dying to know what Tacchini will design for him… better not be classic and boring because Novak is anything but that!
I don’t like that fact that Andy’s kit looks better than Nando’s. The outfits that Nando will wear are horrific!
