i think when these two play there are so many intangibles, winning shots coming from everywhere. i would to hear u.t.’s tips esp after how rog played in madrid. we need a mole in the 02 arena.

rog is usually relaxed at practice, even rafa said that recently. it comes easier to rog. though I bet during this practice session fed worked a little harder to win and perhaps show that he is serious and gunning for year end #1!

too bad they can’t inc practice stats in the head to head. I also love how uncle Toni looks all serious. severin is funny in Bryan bros pic.

this is awesome. i love seeing them practice together. they get along so well, it would be fun to see in person. love the friendly rivalry. did they only play each other in Australia and madrid this year? they must miss the challenge of playing each other. it’s not like they don’t already know each others games inside and out so there should be no secrets. though fed should pretend his forehand is off, then let the liquid whip go and bam! he should also remember the strategy of making rafa wait before the coin toss then electing to receive. worked in madrid!

i know! Didn’t Rog yell at U.T. once at the Rome tournament? “How do you like this, Toni?” or something?

I’m sure they’re very civil, but I’d love to hear U.T.’s tips and tactics afterwards!

Wouldn’t that be interesting to know? When players practice together – especially great rivals like these two – there has to be a little bit of gamesmanship and strategy. Fakeouts, disguise, a little fibbing about various aches and pains and weaknesses. I wonder if it matters who wins or not?

I agree – I think I’d prefer being at this practice section to being at most matches! It would have been great to see how these two handle practicing together.

Especially since they have majorly different practice styles – at least at tournaments, Roger’s more relaxed and Rafa is always 100%.

i wonder if roger is careful to hide his shiny new ‘post-madrid’ strategy for beating nadal during the practice? lul nadal into a false sense of security making him think he can just use his cross court heavy forehand onto rogers 1HBH like in years past? then when they play in london he plays smart again

forget disneyland….gtt is the happiest place on earth , unless of course you’re at the ‘02 arena. thank u ff, which now stands for freakyfantastic. i think rog and rafa truly miss each other. how much fun would it be to have been there . “sigh” well at least we have this.
