great interview. thanks for sharing! so interesting to hear from pierre and it makes sense that roger has had so much success with the help of his kick ass team. would love to see him play for many more years. he can definitely do it, with the way he smartly handles his schedule and fitness! did anyone else get distracted by the pics at top? i went through them before i read the interview.

ff, husband came home with latest issue of tennis mag and with a smile on his face, basically said i’d love it… marat on the front, roger in a rolex ad on the back. sweet!

that was a freaky fantastic find. great interview with the most invisible member of team fed. love the end when he says “That’s what’s good in our team: Everyone takes responsibility for his or her domain.” makes life alot easier when you have people around like that.

Lovely interview. Roger has such an awesome team around him. I’m glad he trains with trusted Pierre. I like the part where he says Mirka Vavr- and then corrects himself. 8 more years of Rog sounds good to me. Go Team Federer!

I guess it depends on how much of a tennis fiend Roger really is! Pierre talks about Roger having that “fire” to play. I think it may cool down a little bit here and there, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he keep showing up at Wimbledon for many years to come.

Great interview. I personally don’t envision Roger playing for many more years. I remember when he won his first US Open and went to Letterman and saying that he admired Agassi a lot, but hopefully he could retire much early than him.

Just curious, is @TennisTim associated with this site? Lately he’s tweeted GoToTennis ‘headlines’ without RT credit. Perhaps you have an arrangement. Otherwise thanks for Federer news and updates. We don’t get to see much of him in the US outside of the slams and the hardcourt season.
