With the big-time comebacks on the women’s tour, are the men getting jealous? This week sees a couple mini-comebacks from two former ATP top-10 players.

Paradorn Srichaphan is playing doubles in the upcoming Thailand Open. The thirty-year-old former World No. 9 (and Asian No. 1) was granted a wildcard to play doubles with his countryman Danai Udomchoke. He and his partner will play Michael Kohlmann and Alexander Peya in the first round.

“I wanted to come back by using the Thailand Open as my tournament. I’m not fit enough for the singles,” Paradorn said. (via the AP)

“It will be good for me and will also give tennis fans the chance to watch a Thai player.” (via Bangkok Post)

Srichaphan has been sidelined from professional tennis since March of 2007 with a recurrent wrist problem. Since then he’s enjoyed his celebrity, marrying former Miss Universe Natalie Glebova, dabbling in motocross and even endorsing a male “enhancement” tonic.

At 30 years old, it’s hard to see Paradorn making a Clijsters style comeback. But his charismatic persona and game will be a welcome (re)addition to the tour! Here’s a little sampling:

Another former Top Tenner on the comeback trail is Joachim “PimPim” Johansson, the 27 year-old Swede who went into semi-retirement in February of 2008 due to ongoing injuries. He was granted a wildcard into next week’s tournament in Kuala Lumpur, along with Marcos Baghdatis and Taylor Dent.
