I like Rafael Nadal’s new haircut, but it’s freaking me out a little bit. Does anyone else see the striking resemblance?
Both Roger and Rafa enjoyed straight set wins at the US Open on Wednesday. Nadal “routined” Richard Gasquet in the first round: 6-2, 6-2, 6-3 and Roger Federer fought past Simon Greul in a tighter 2nd round match: 6-3, 7-5, 7-5. Gruel had 2 set points in the second set and broke Roger early in the third. But Roger pulled the match out with a respectable ratio of 35 winners to 27 unforced errors.
Are these two hair models destined to meet in the final?

Not everything is about Roger Federer. Now Rafa can’t even get a haircut. I love Rafa’s haircut shorter. I’m sure his goal is not to look like Roger. Rafa is better looking no matter how his hair is cut. If Rafa hadn’t been hurt, he would still be no.1 not Roger.
I think you're taking this 'Roger/Rafa hair twins?' joke a little too seriously, to be honest.
i agree with you!
Will someone please tell me whether Roger will play Hewitt during the Day Session or the Night Session on Saturday. Also, is there a place where I can trade US Open tickets? THANKS a bunch.
Hey Dony, i think you can do either trading or selling or buying with this site.

I was almost in tears (of laughter) by the time I got to the grinning pics. Soooo funny! Nadal's shiny new haircut is going to fascinate me now.
haha..hey moose! whassup!
well, you can't help notice it now especially with Rafa starting to wear the collars and the sleeves (not to mention the shorts) at the start of the year.
Hey why not try and copy the classy immaculate Federer…Rafa could do worse and frankly I like the new look!
I wonder now if he will try and adopt more of Fed's relaxed game…oh this should be fun!
Huh?
)
What?
Was there some content to this post? Because I was overcome with the sheer pretty of it all and lost track.
No, you definitely didn't miss any content, GfM! HA! Glad you enjoyed. . .
I knew he'd cut his hair! He just looked different somehow in those NYC event pictures. It looks good! …I think. I haven't really decided yet. It doesn't look worse than his previous haircut, at least. ;p
I only watched a little bit of Rafa's match yesterday, I noticed that when he serves he bounced the ball maybe less times than before, is that right? and I didn't noticed him grabbing his pants every time he served, is that right?
Rafa isn't wearing the tight shorts anymore, his shorts are basically the same as Roger's shorts. It does seem like rafa is abbreviating all of his normal ticks
i like the haircut!
did anyone see the new york mag article which declares that Rafa's shorts are see through. But ranjolie they do look looser so maybe thats why he isn't grabbing them??
I love Rafa's haircut! But he has a way to go before equaling the glory that is Roger's hair. Maybe it is the fact that Roger doesn't seem to actually sweat…how does he do that?
Seems to me that Rafa took the time off to bulk up again. I recall when Rafa first splashed on tour, he was absolutely huge. But the strain of full time play and going deep in every tournament seemed to take away his work out time: by 2008, his arm muscles seemed much more "normal" for a tennis player. Now he seems back to Hulk mode.
Can't wait to see him knock Murray silly, and a classic Fedal final!
rumour has it that rafa may be returning to the sleeveless next season…there is a god!
I loved Rafa in his long pirates and sleevless, he has a gorgeous body and both the long shorts showed off his shapley thighs and the sleevless showed his biceps of course. I love the tight polo's though, they reveal his kneck line*phew* and the definition of his back muscles, lurvely. I like his shorter hair cut, Rafa has fine hair and by wearing it shorter it will thicken it I think this is the reason he has been keeping it shorter, not to be like Fed.. for god sake, besides he is far more handsome than Fed.
I am first and formost a forever Fed Fan, but both Roger and Rafa are terrific tennis players and real gentlemen on and off the court. Both have estabilished charitable Foundations, so I know we will see great things from both of them after they retire. I hope to see a Roger-Rafa final, which would mean that BOTH Djokovic and Murray would have been beaten in an earlier round. But of course, I will root for Rog in the final!!! Go Roger!!!
Don't have a problem with the look-a-like hair but for God's sake Rog, KEEP YOUR SHIRT ON. I'm afraid there's just NO comparison there.
Rafa you have to win this by defeating roger to reclaim your world no. 1 place ican't wait to see u new world no 1
