InStyle and Tiffany & Co. hosted a cocktail party celebrating Maria Sharapova’ s partnership with architect Frank Gehry, who designed the earrings Maria will be wearing on court. The party was at New York’s Cooper Square Hotel and included birthday and Gossip Girl Blake Lively and Ugly Betty star Ana Ortiz.

Here’s the “scoop” from InStyle:

Maria Sharapova showed off the sterling silver and diamond earrings that Tiffany designer Frank Gehry created just for her at the InStyle and Tiffany & Co. cocktail party. Is Sharapova, who will wear the $850 danglers when she plays in the 2009 US Open next week, worried that she might lose them on the court? “Not really, but I have a couple of back-up pairs just in case,” the statuesque tennis ace admitted.
