its sorta sad how safin hasnt been able to follow the return of form of players his age – jcf, haas, hewitt. hoping that jcf is definetely continuing on the tour next year, considering his amazing results of late.
loving safins comments about dinara…i wish he would go support her at a match. but i guess its not his way.

I think that’s why I had that “wait, is Roger really playing?” moment. I caught him watching the video a little bit during the warm up and it was kind of a surreal moment. It’s going to be so interesting to see where his career goes from here and how he deals with the “legend” tag. I’m guessing it will just keep him going strong!

they did not show mirka, as far as i know and i watched pretty carefully. the last 2 games of the match kicked ass! i wasn’t really worried, but was very impressed with frederic’s game.

as for safina, i think once she gets past the hump of winning a GS, she should feel more confident against the top gals, will relax a bit and also enjoy it more. sometimes it’s like she’s miserable and scared out there. love her, but she is hard to watch!

how about, ‘the mighty dad’ or something related to fatherhood?

Ha! Maybe it’s Roger reaching “15″, but I wasn’t worried at all about this match (the fact the other guy was ranked 487 didn’t hurt either.)

I believe JCF beat Rafa in Rome last year. . .Rafa had some big-time blisters on his feet, I think, but I bet the win still gave JCF some career-boosting confidence.

Thinking the twins are being kept inside as much as possible. Was Mirka at the match?

Great, Roger, mark your come-back with another heart atack-inducing game, I checked the scores 7-6, 3-3, but, in the end Roger prevailed and thankfully won.
On Safina, I really want her to win a bunch of Slams so she can shhhhhh all of the people saying she is not really a number 1.

where to start?! so much great stuff ff! HUGE thanks for giving me the TC tip for montreal coverage. i was beyond happy to watch fed play last night (after i got home from celebrating wonderful husband’s bday). fed was challenged, but definitely kicked it up another gear. love to watch him make some amazing shots, shows he’s in good form. that’s what i’ve missed! i wonder if we’ll see the twins this week or if they’ll be safely tucked away at the hotel or in a private suite at the stadium. obviously they can’t be in the player’s box. ha!

good for JCF to keep going and try his best. i remember when he took out nadal (i think it was rome last year) in a hard fought battle. i was super impressed with his game and fight.

marat makes me laugh! i will miss his witty pressers and unbelievable hotness! what are we going to do without him? love his big bro comment on safina. i hope she wins a GS soon, so she can be seen in a positive light and the rankings debate can subside.
