We’d heard that Novak Djokovic and his girlfriend, Jelena Ristic, were planning a sand and sea vacation this month (possibly on a new 2.5 million dollar yacht) but didn’t have any visual evidence. For those of you who were worried that Nole was running wind sprints with his fitness trainer, instead, these photos will make you happy. (Thanks to GTT reader, Ellen, for the update!)
According to hcfoo.com, these were taken in Porotofino, Italy, after Nole’s quarterfinal loss at Wimbledon. Looks like a fine way to get over a tough defeat! I guess international tennis superstars drown their cares in the Mediterranean, not a 12 pack of Bud Light.
No sign of the yacht, yet. We’ll have to wait and see if the love birds turn up in any more romantic ports of call. . .

Hi all! Could someone please tell me why Federer doesn’t like Djokovic? I’ve read several times that these two aren’t the best friends on tour. I’ve probably lost something, since it’s been only a few months I’m a tennis fan.
According to some Aus commentators, Djokovic isn’t the most popular guy in the locker room. Retirements, imitations etc.
But he looks like he’s having fun there. Pity he doesn’t have a body carpet …
I heard that Roger first started expressing his dislike after Novak Djokovic retired from a match during a Davis Cup tie between their two countries. I guess Roger said something about it and Novak was really sad that someone he looked up to would criticize him. I can’t recall where I read this story so please take it with a grain of salt.
But whether true or not I think it serves as an example of why Roger and Novak don’t get along. Roger was unimpressed by Novak’s various retirements from big matches and he also doesn’t like Novak’s parents. Remember after the Australian Open, Novak’s mom was telling the press “The King is Dead, Long Live the King.”
So I guess there’s a lot of reasons!

Pity.. from the few things I know for Djokovic I really admire his effort to take his country a step further..with the serbia open and all. And his imitations too
Fed doesn’t like Novak coz 1. he is a stuck up snob and 2. Djokovic was the first one to openly express his belief he can beat his ass.
Actualy,all that story is exaggerated.If there is a slight dislikeness between these two guys,that`s probably because Djokovic is the first player after long time,that is relaxed,normal and showing emotions.People like him cause he is funny and great sportsmen.We can not judge about Novak only according Federer`s imaginary dislikeness toward him. On the other side, maybe it is because Novak is a good friend with Rafa and other tennis players respect his friendly attitude.
Novak is very well liked by his other tennis colleagues and of course by his hundreds of fans around the world. After all, weren't he and Rafa voted most popular tennis guys in the ATP website? I don't believe all that Fed-Djoko antagonism, I think they get on well, it's just a healthy competition between two super star players. And I find some competition really healthy for tennis and highly entertaining… I think Roger should take everything with a pinch of salt and stop being so sour.
