Serena Williams is working hard for her Marbella appearance money! Or, in the words of the Andalucia Tennis Experience website: “Since her arrival last Monday, the US-American tennis player is fully taking advantage of her days in Marbella to get to know the Andalusian culture first hand.”
Williams may have lost her No. 1 ranking with an early round loss yesterday, but Williams bucked up enough to participate in a number of oh-so-spontaneous photo opportunities, including flamenco dancing and watching horses run on the beach. Jelena Jankovic, who has actually been dominating the tournament this week with two easy victories over Francesca Schiavone and Selima Sfar, was also on hand for the dancing, although she appears to have her mind focused on tennis.
Here you go:
“In the evening, flamenco was a central part of the official party of the Andalucía Tennis Experience first edition. During the performance, the younger one of the William’s sisters was thrilled about how the dancers moved and accompanied them with hand clapping. Other famous faces to follow this show where the Serbian, Jelena Jankovic, ranked number 4 in the world, and the Spanish Olympic medalists, Virginia Ruano and Anabel Medina.”
“In a day dominated by sun and great climate, Serena did not want to miss the chance to follow a performance by horses from the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art and enjoyed the dance of these thoroughbreds on the beach. Serena was delighted by their beautiful dance and didn’t hesitate posing for a picture with them.”
Personally, I’m mesmerized by Serena’s flowy, super-flattering summer dress. I wants it! And the yellow shoes, too.
