Wow! What an exciting match del Potro and Rafael Nadal played yesterday at the Sony Ericsson Open! It was unbelievable. Until del Potro won match point, I was convinced Nadal would find a way to win. Del Potro defied expectations – fighting back in the third set from two breaks down against Nadal, the man I’d pick to land a 747 in the Hudson River if there were no pilots around. I wonder what kind of advice delPo’s countryman, David Nalbandian, gave him before the match?

I’ve posted the third set tiebreaker for anyone who missed it – I heard FSN viewers in NYC got screwed. (I feel your pain – FSN didn’t show any of the Indian Wells match between Nalbandian and Nadal in the L.A. market.)

I’m so embarassed that I called this match unenticing in my preview – thinking that Murray vs. Verdasco would be the hot ticket. What the hell do I know? (You don’t have to answer that. . .)

Who knew! Del Potro! Didn’t think he had it in him. Especially seeing the clinic he went through from Federer in Aussie Open.

I was thinking the same and watched a documentary about Doris Day on TV instead.
OOOOH, OUCH! I was lucky enough to tune in, despite my reservations. But heck, now you know all about Doris!
Thnx for the videos.
You are welcome! It was a great match.
I was a little disappointed del Potro couldn’t back it up today, but I do think Murray will be a better challenger in the final against Djokovic.
