We had a great first day at Indian Wells which included watching Roger Federer’s short-but-sweet practice session. This tournament allows “up close and personal” interaction with the players, as you’ll see in this clip (also note my wingman, FreakyFritters, asking Roger for a GTT shout out, which Fed wisely ignores!)
Other highlights included catching Nalbandian, del Potro, Gasquet, Tsonga and Wawrinka frolicking together on a grassy knoll, watching Nadal put his nose (and other body parts) to the grindstone during a marathon practice session, and stumbling upon a meeting of Rogerholics Anonymous. We’ll have pics and updates to you by Monday – we’re kind of working on the fly here.
And a shout out to fellow Fed fan and GTT reader, Adrian from San Fran, for saying “hi!” to us at the practice courts!
